The Hospital, located in the southern part of Nagoya City, is a 661-bed advanced acute care general hospital with more than 70 years of experience.
With the Emergency Care Center, the Hospital has been designated as a Disaster Key Hospital, Regional Medical Care Support Hospital, and Regional Key Hospital for Cancer Treatment and provides high-quality medical care centering around five diseases (cancer, stroke, myocardial infarction, diabetes, and mental disorders) and five operations (emergency, disaster, remote area, perinatal period, and pediatrics) emphasized by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. As a prominent leader in treatment of severe burns and pediatric diseases, in particular, we accept many patients and earn patients’ trust by providing advanced and unique medical care in all departments.

Features of the hospital
In the Urology Department, we have treated foreign patients through robot-assisted surgery (including radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer, partial nephrectomy for kidney cancer, radical cystectomy for bladder cancer, and pyeloplasty for hydronephrosis) and renal transplantation.
In surgery departments, we have experience in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for stomach cancer and colorectal cancer, endoscopic surgery for inguinal hernia, and stent grafting for abdominal aortic aneurysm. The Cardiovascular Surgery Department has gained superb experience in pediatric cardiovascular medicine, or more specifically, congenital heart surgery of neonates and infants.
The Ophthalmology Department has achieved success in conditions that could not be treated only with ordinary ophthalmological microscopy, such as globe rupture, retinal detachment with corneal opacity, refractory retinal detachment, subretinal hematoma secondary to age-related macular degeneration, or choroidal tumor.

Signs and indications at the Hospital are printed in multiple languages, and we accommodate customs of and meals for foreign patients to the extent that we can manage, including Halal foods.
